Wilde Thyme

Wilde Thyme, founded by Chef kiah, has been a creative outlet to experiment with the connection between local and seasonal foods and community gatherings in Baltimore, since 2017.

In the first three years of Wilde Thyme, the food truck brought local food and seasonal menus to community gatherings, street fairs, breweries and private events, with an emphasis that all the ingredients for this mobile business are found here, in Baltimore, MD.

The food industry, and how the Wilde Thyme food truck shows up in community has evolved and changed with time. In March 2020, Chef kiah partnered with Black Yield Institute and Civic Works to distribute over 30,000+ free meals.

Since 2020 kiah has been focusing more explicitly on their transformative justice work within the food industry. They are interested in shifting the toxic “norms” of the food industry by providing resources, tools and education through Our Time Kitchen. The Wilde Thyme Food truck can now be found as a shared resource for small businesses in the Backyard at Our Time Kitchen.
